It's really 'Wedding-Day Management'

You're probably familiar with the term 'day-of' coordination. Technically it doesn't really exist because the service starts before the day. We'll explain.

One of the most frequently asked questions by prospective clients is what exactly will you do on the day? What does the service entail?”

In a nutshell, the coordinator oversees all the logistics on the day of the wedding. This service is requested by couples who chose to plan the wedding themselves. We therefore relieve the bride and groom of the stress of ensuring all the details they’ve worked on during planning is in place. We’re they’re eyes and voice on the day. Because we (ideally) get involved about a month before the wedding, we also serve the role of mediator / rationale voice with those last minute decisions or unwanted third party opinions (yes, it happens!).

How does the process work?

We have a consultation with you to determine your specific needs. As much as there are standard elements of the service in our package like site visits, vendor management etc, no two couples are the same, and that’s how we treat it! Eg. some require service for the ceremony & reception, whilst others only require for the reception. Once that is completed, we arrange to have a site visit done where we will go through your ceremony/reception space understanding your vision for the day. At this point we will make recommendations if needed with regard to layout and event flow. We’ll review all your vendor agreements to understand what they have been contracted to do. Based on all the information, we prepare a wedding day timeline for you which outlines your arrival times, set up and breakdown and this is shared with the vendors so everything and everyone can be guided accordingly. On the day of the wedding we manage this timeline and coordinate the flow.

What’s the biggest misconception about the service?

That you don’t need one or you cant afford one. Imagine, you’re about to arrive at your reception and someone calls to say the caterer is not there. This is something that should have been known at least an hour ago, because based on a timeline that was prepared they were due to arrive at a certain time but no one is monitoring that. The family member you appointed was at the ceremony with you. Imagine, you're about to stick your cake and no one noticed the photographer just stepped out of the room to change his battery...and missed the moment!

The rain begins to pour down on your outdoor ceremony set up mere minutes before the scheduled start time...(yea that's what happened to us in the video above but the show went on!)

How can you afford one? When you’re planning your wedding budget, factor in the cost for the coordinator, just as you would for the decorator and DJ.

What’s the biggest benefit to the couple?

Peace of mind and a stress free day - priceless!

Our advice:

Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming and stressful process. You deserve to enjoy every moment of the day. Relieve yourself of the stress on that day so you can focus on enjoying the moments with your family and loved ones…... and not worry if the bar has enough ice…
